There were close to 3,000 customers without power in Bergen County at one point after the thunderstorm moved through shortly before 7 p.m., according to the Public Service Electric & Gas Co. The utility company said it had multiple reports of downed wires, with the most serious incidents occurring in Dumont, Hackensack and Englewood.
